Under the FD&C section of Title 21 of the
United States Code, the FDA’s Center for
Veterinary Medicine has been given the
authority to govern the manufacture,
distribution, and use of veterinary drugs that
are distributed between states.
The Federal Code also gives the FDA the
authority to write regulations on how it will
enforce the FD&C Act. Those regulations are
contained in the Code of Federal Regulations
Title 21.
