We know this because the Great Abbey's 'cerevisiarii' or ale brewers are mentioned in the Domesday Book. But we've taken the traditional craft of brewing to new heights, producing what is arguably the finest range of cask ales in the country. ABBOT ALE • 5.0% Abbot is an irresistible ale with masses of fruit characters, a malty richness and superb hop balance. It is brewed longer to a unique recipe, which makes it the full-flavoured, smooth and mature beer it is today. IPA • 3.6% Crafted with locally sourced, 100% english ingredients from the heart of suffolk. the characteristic hoppy taste & aroma from the use of challenger & first gold hops, which are combined with pale & crystal malts creates this perfectly balanced, premium quality beer. MORLANDS ORIGINAL • 4.0% Has a fresh floral hop aroma from golding hops with a strong character. Blonde• 3.8% A light and hoppy blonde beer made using lager malt and Saaz hops, for a refreshing finish. Slumbering Monk • 4.5% A malty, nutty copper coloured ale with hints of caramel to and light bit-terness. Pale Ale • 4.1% Brewed with pure mineral water, this very English Pale Ale is crisp and fresh upfront, with a pleas-ant bitter aftertaste. EVERARDS TIGER • 4.2% Tiger Best Bitter is a classic example of getting the perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness. Crystal malt gives the beer its rounded toffee character. MCMULLENS AK • 3.7% Our award-winning bitter uses a carefully balanced mixture of pale ale and chocolate malts to give a soft malty taste, while WGV hops give a light fragrant aroma and clean finish. A popular and refreshing easy-drinking bitter. COUNTRY BITTER • 4.3% The recipe for Country's distinct fruity taste is a testament to this when we carefully mix the Progress, Brambling Cross and English Fuggle hops. The addition of crystal malt to the pale ale malt creates a light colour and adds a nutty taste. Best bitter drinkers will really enjoy this beautifully balanced complex ale. GRAYS CELTIC GOLD • 4.0% A golden bitter with a pleasant balance of hops & malt. Hops continue from the taste to a smooth bitter finish. ENGLAND'S PRIDE • 4.5% A dark brew combining chocolate and crystal malts to give a luscious toffee, malty flavour with hop and bitterness an the aftertaste. GRAYS BITTER • 3.8% Drinking beauty of a beer, with hoppy flavours and a clean finish. 4.0% Gold TIMOTHY TAYLOR LANDLORD • 4.3% A classic strong plae ale, Landlord has won more awards nationally than any other beer. This includes three times as Champion at the Brewers International Exhibition. WELLS/ YOUNGS BOMBARDIER • 4.1% Bombardier is an iconic real beer loaded with distinct English brilliance. It's the epitome of impeccable taste and great character. The rich, full-bodied nectar is a lingering reward - English, ever reliable and damned tasty. INBEV DRAUGHT BASS • 4.4% A classic ale with a malty, fruity, nutty aroma and a complex, satisfying flavour. JENNINGS CUMBERLAND • 4.0% A light , creamy, hoppy beer with a dry aftertaste. ST. AUSTELL TRIBUTE • 4.2% Tribute is a magnificent example of a bronze coloured English bitter, with a rich aroma of biscuity malt and tart citrus fruit from the Willamette hops. Juicy malt, hop resins and tangy fruit coat the tongue, while the finish is long and lingering, with a fine balance between malt, hops and fruit, finally becoming dry and bitter. PROPER JOB • 4.5% A powerfully hopped golden bitter that explodes with citrus grapefruit flavours. MARSTONS PEDIGREE • 4.5% Marston's Pedigree is still brewed the best way known to Master Brewer's using Burton well water, the unions system and with a passion for the result. 3
