World Renowned Medical Center Is Recognized Leader<br />
in LGBT Healthcare Equality<br />
PALM SPRINGS – AIDS Assistance Program (AAP) is pleased to announce<br />
that Eisenhower Medical Center will be the Presenting Healthcare<br />
Sponsor for the 22nd annual Evening Under the Stars gala, taking place<br />
on Saturday, <strong>May</strong> 9, <strong>2015</strong>, at 5:30 PM at the O’Donnell Golf Club in Palm<br />
Springs. The event, considered by many to be the unofficial finale of the<br />
desert social season, provides the majority of funding for AAP’s food voucher<br />
program.<br />
Eisenhower Medical Center, a world-renowned facility founded in 1966 by<br />
the late Dolores and Bob Hope, has been recognized as a Leader in LGBT<br />
Healthcare Equality for two years in a row. In the annual Healthcare Equality<br />
Index survey conducted by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation,<br />
Eisenhower earned top marks in 2013 and 2014 for its commitment to<br />
equitable, inclusive care for LGBT patients and their families, and was one of<br />
a select group of 426 health care facilities nationwide to be named Leaders<br />
in LGBT Healthcare Equality.
