This writing enrichment course guides students<br />

through the writing process and builds their<br />

confidence to foster a love of writing. Emphasis<br />

will be placed on such writing prompts as<br />

open-ended questions, pictures, and poetry.<br />

Students will be exposed to a variety of writing<br />

strategies through language arts, science,<br />

social studies, and mathematics.<br />

their skills and focuses on conceptualizing and<br />

between academics and technology and to<br />

build writing stamina in a variety of genres,<br />

including test-taking formats. Children maintain<br />

electronic journals, work within the facets<br />

of Microsoft Word, and develop PowerPoint<br />

presentations.<br />

Session One<br />

For all courses beyond Level I, students must<br />

demonstrate a mastery of course content to<br />

progress to the next level. Identification cards<br />

will be issued to all students on the first day of<br />

class and all students must wear bathing caps.<br />

KOC024/3342-Beginning Swimming for<br />

Kids Level I<br />

This introductory course for those who cannot<br />

swim or for those with limited ability helps<br />

children to feel comfortable in the water and<br />

covers the front and back floats, locomotion<br />

and basic rescue skills, and personal safety.<br />
