CHILDREN LEARN WHAT THEY LIVE

epitomizes the belief that ‘children are the future, teach them
well and lead them lead the way. Show them all the beauty that

M a u r i c e C h i d i a c ’ s i n c r e d i b l e h o m i l y c o n c e r n i n g ‘ L o v e ’ ,
especially taking cognizance that, “the true nature of God... Is
L o v e ” . T h e c h i l d r e n f r o m O u r L a d y o f L e b a n o n M a r o n i t e
C a t h o l i c S c h o o l , a t t i r e d i n b e a u t i f u l t r a c k s u i t s ( n a v y w i t h r e d ,
g r e e n a n d w h i t e , s y m b o l i s i n g t h e c o l o u r s o f L e b a n o n ) , s h a r e d
s o m e h a r m o n i o u s s o n g s w i t h t h e c o n g r e g a t i o n . T h e
i n n o c e n c e e x p r e s s e d i n t h e i r l o v e l y c h a r a c t e r s a n d t h e s w e e t
s o u n d o f t h e i r a n g e l i c v o i c e s , b r o u g h t t e a r s t o m y e y e s . I w o u l d
j u s t l i k e t o e x p r e s s m y p e r s o n a l a p p r e c i a t i o n a n d p r a i s e f o r o u r
p r i n c i p a l , t h e t e a c h e r b o d y a n d t h e a d m i n i s t r a t i o n s t a f f , a t o u r
new school, whom had prepared these children to give us an
u n f o r g e t t a b l e , p e r f o r m a n c e o f w h a t t h e y h a d l e a r n e d , t h u s f a r .
T h e q u a l i t y o f o b e d i e n c e i n t h e i r f a i t h , d i s c i p l i n e a n d
e x p r e s s i o n o f p a s s i o n a t e l o v e , l e f t m e i n a w e . T h a n k y o u s o
m u c h f o r s h a r i n g t h i s u n i q u e m o m e n t w i t h u s . I a m m o s t
positive that many, who were present, will share in such,
s e n t i m e n t . I h o p e t h a t w e w i l l h a v e t h e o p p o r t u n i t y i n t h e
f u t u r e , t o e x p e r i e n c e o t h e r , s u c h a w e s o m e m o m e n t s . I n
closing, “children learn what they live and then go on through
life to live what they have learned.”
