such as the late products of the Harrold shell tempered<br />
industry, the late products of the Lower Nene Valley<br />
colourcoated ware industry, and red colourcoats from<br />
Ox<strong>for</strong>dshire, all of which have been identified in such<br />
groups from sites in the Milton Keynes area, immediately to<br />
the east of Potterspury (Mamey 1989).<br />
Metal work and coins recovered from the site, the vast<br />
majority of which have been found by Bob King's surveys<br />
(Midlands Archaeological Research Society) in the area<br />
since 1988 (identified by Northampton Museum), date from<br />
the mid-late first to fourth century, with a concentration in<br />
the later third (Cooper, <strong>for</strong>thcoming).<br />
