(d)<br />
Where an employee works on a shift other than a rostered shift, the employee<br />
must:<br />
(i)<br />
(ii)<br />
if employed on continuous work, be paid at the rate of 200%; or<br />
if employed on other shiftwork, be paid at the rate of 150% for the first<br />
three hours <strong>and</strong> 200% thereafter.<br />
(e)<br />
Clause 30.5(d) does not apply when the time is worked:<br />
(i)<br />
(ii)<br />
by arrangement between the employees themselves;<br />
for the purposes of effecting the customary rotation of shifts; or<br />

30.6 Daylight saving<br />
(iii) on a shift to which the employee is transferred on short notice as an<br />
alternative to st<strong>and</strong>ing the employee off in circumstances which would<br />
entitle the employer to deduct payment in accordance with Part 3-5 of<br />
the Act.<br />

Where by reason of State or Territory legislation summer time is prescribed as<br />
being in advance of the st<strong>and</strong>ard time in that state, the length of any shift<br />
commencing before the time prescribed by the relevant legislation for the<br />
commencement of a summer time period or commencing on or before the time<br />
prescribed by the relevant legislation for the termination of a summer time<br />
period, is deemed to be the number of hours represented by the difference<br />
between the time recorded by the clock at the beginning of the shift <strong>and</strong> the<br />
time so recorded at the end of the shift. The time of the clock in each case is to<br />
be set to the time fixed by the relevant legislation.<br />
The terms st<strong>and</strong>ard time <strong>and</strong> summer time have the same meaning as in the<br />
relevant State or Territory legislation.<br />
30.7 Make-up time<br />

An employee may elect, with the consent of the employer, to work make-up<br />
time under which the employee takes time off during ordinary hours, <strong>and</strong><br />
works those hours at a later time, during the spread of ordinary hours provided<br />
in this award.<br />
An employee on shiftwork may elect, with the consent of their employer, to<br />
work make-up time under which the employee takes time off during ordinary<br />
hours <strong>and</strong> works those hours at a later time, at the rate which would have been<br />
applicable to the hours taken off.<br />
