higher studies in the mean time. He/she shall appear as a private candidate. Those reappearing in<br />

the whole examination may appear as regular candidates also. The candidates appearing for upgrading<br />

<strong>of</strong> performance in the examination can appear in the subject(s) only in which they have<br />

obtained minimum Grade D.<br />

A candidate appearing for upgrading <strong>of</strong> performance in subject(s) involving practical shall appear<br />

only in theory and previous practical and internal assessment marks shall be carried forward and<br />

accounted for.<br />

Candidates who appear for upgrading <strong>of</strong> performance shall be issued only Statement <strong>of</strong> Subject<br />

wise Performance reflecting the grades <strong>of</strong> the Upgrading <strong>of</strong> performance.<br />

A candidate appearing for upgrading <strong>of</strong> performance in one or more subjects cannot appear for<br />

additional subject simultaneously.<br />

21. PATRACHAR VIDYALAYA CANDIDATES<br />

Patrachar Vidyalaya Candidates for <strong>Secondary</strong> <strong>School</strong> Examination will be required to <strong>of</strong>fer two<br />

languages as laid down in the Scheme <strong>of</strong> Examination but will be allowed to <strong>of</strong>fer Home Science,<br />

Commerce in place <strong>of</strong> Mathematics and Science.<br />

Patrachar Vidyalaya Candidates for <strong>Secondary</strong> <strong>School</strong> Examination from outside Delhi shall not be<br />

allowed to <strong>of</strong>fer subjects involving practical work.<br />

22. EXEMPTION TO SPASTIC, BLIND, DYSLEXIC AND PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED<br />

CANDIDATES<br />

Dyslexic, Spastic candidates and candidates with visual and hearing impairment have the option <strong>of</strong> studying<br />

one compulsory language as against two. This language should be in consonance with the overall spirit <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Three Language Formula prescribed by the <strong>Board</strong>. Besides one language any four <strong>of</strong> following subjects be<br />

<strong>of</strong>fered :-<br />

Mathematics, Science, Social Science, another language, Music, Painting, Home Science , Introductory<br />

Information Technology and Commerce (Elements <strong>of</strong> Business) & Commerce (Elements <strong>of</strong> Book Keeping<br />

and Accountancy)<br />

23. EXAMINATION BYE-LAWS<br />

Rest <strong>of</strong> the conditions for appearing in the examination shall be as laid down in the Examination Bye-Laws<br />

<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Board</strong> from time to time.<br />
