would like to thank everyone for all the cards, phone calls, prayers, and food you sent
during and after my recent heart attack. Betty and I have many wonderful friends
here in Teakwood, and your kindness was truly appreciated. Again, many thanks!
New Year’s Eve Party

Jerry Chase did another great job as the entertainer
at our dance. He was so good that everyone was
still dancing past midnight. Appetizers were put
out at 9:00 p.m. and a bottle of champagne was on
each table at 10:00 p.m.
A very special thanks to June Davidson and
Monique Benfield who are the best help in the world.
Because I was running to the hospital and doctors with
Jim, Monique stepped in and aided Claire, making our
job a lot easier. We also can’t forget Natalie and Will
Kleinmeyer for setting the tables so well.

This past year Ronnie Kierstead’s mother took ill and we took over as Social Directors.
We had a lot of fun and a few complaints; however, all in all, it wasn’t too
bad. So many people aided us and we want to thank them all, again and again.
So once more, thank you all for the help you have given us and Teakwood East, Betty
Flanary and Claire Kanan.
Love is a game that two can play and both win.
American Heart Month. Heart disease is a leading cause of death in the United
States, but it doesn’t have to be. American Heart Month seeks to increase public knowledge
of cardiovascular diseases, raise funds for research, and prevent heart disease by
encouraging heart-healthy habits.
