THE AWARDS
The Principal Officer’s Association (POA) has teamed up with Global
Pensions, which is a renowned UK based Publisher to host a service
provider’s awards ceremony in South Africa. It is branded the ‘Imbasa
Yegolide Awards for Professional Excellence’. Principal Officers will nominate
their favourite service providers worthy of an award.
The aim is to reward those service providers who render excellent service to
funds. Global Pensions will manage the nominations and assessments and
the POA will manage the event. Not only is this a FIRST FOR AFRICA but
also the first of its kind to be hosted outside of the UK. The UK Pension
Awards are in their 12th annual year of hosting this event.
This awards ceremony aims to be the single largest gathering of the
corporate pensions industry in South Africa, offering you the opportunity to
mingle and network with the “who’s who” of the retirement industry. The
gala event will be a dazzling black tie function, starting off with a welcoming
drink reception and includes a plated 3 course formal dinner whilst
witnessing the stars of the industry collect their accolades of excellence.
Screens will feature the winners as they are announced and picked out by
spotlights as they make their way to the stage to receive their awards. The
awards will be featured in an industry related trade publication.
The event will coincide with the POA’s annual conference, which will be held
on June 8 this year. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Securing our
Pensioners’ Future Today: Prudence and Vigilance - Now more than ever.’
