Summer 2004
3. Matters Arising from the 2003 minutes
The club championships will not be the triple crossing this year but will be next
year.
4. Reports
Chairman's report - attached
Secretary's report - Roger stated that from the secretary's point of view nothing
much had happened in the year. He also stated that DPFR have been asked to write
an article about the club for the October addition of the Fellrunner magazine and
asked for any contributions or assistance.
Treasurer's report - attached. Report accepted. Jeff told the meeting that the club's
finances were in good shape.
5. Presentation
G Berry made a presentation to Jeff Harrison as a thank you for his contribution to
the club having been treasurer for about 20 years.
6. Election of Officers
Treasurer - Lynn Bland, proposed Gavin Williams, seconded Darrel Bradbury.
Elected unapposed.
All other club officials re-elected.
7. Race Reports:
Burbage - in the absence of Andy Moore Roy stated that the race had been a
success. A discussion ensued as to whether the club should be "profiteering" from
races. Various views were aired about the proceeds going towards better prizes in
future, reduced entry fees, spot prizes, donations to local charities/causes. Counter
to this it was noted that the sums left over were relatively small and that attendance
can fluctuate and be weather dependant with the potential for leaving the club in
deficit for a race. It was decided to leave the race fees as they are.
Skyline - report attached. Accounts for the race were not available at the meetUJ|
but these are attached.
8. Caravan Report
John Gunnee reported that the caravan had broken even but that a working part)
was needed to do a few repairs. It was noted that the sums differed slightly to those
on the treasurer's report but this was down to a small amount of information not
passed over.
