A few run-ins with local farmers and the odd checkpoint confusion in club races. I put these down to misunderstandings and poor photocopying. Will the real Lost Lad stand up please? On the competition side we have had a remarkable year with many wins by individuals and podium places for teams etc. In November we awarded The Worsel Trophy for Endeavour to Karen Davison for her example in this sphere and the progress has continued with many others getting into the National competitions. Many people put in voluntary work during the year to make club events happen and to them we owe our gratitude and help when needed. It is to the organisers that most responsibility falls so I will mention some of them by name. Summer 2004 Then there are many who take on the task of organising the less formal races. We owe these people our support and co-operation when it comes to obeying rules or just paying up if there is a cost involved. In one recent event the organiser had so much trouble getting the money out of some that he says he won't do it again. Enough said. This year we say goodbye to Jeff as treasurer after many years of service so we hope he can still afford to come along and run. Subject to the AGM we have a proposal for a replacement that 1 hope will be welcomed by all. I don't think we have made much progress in organising ourselves when it comes to our diary so we may have some discussion of this later.
