Chairman's Report to The AGM 05/05/04
This last club year has seen relatively little controversy in the Fell Running World and
almost none in Dark Peak's part of it. A few run-ins with local farmers and the odd
checkpoint confusion in club races. I put these down to misunderstandings and poor
photocopying. Will the real Lost Lad stand up please?
On the competition side we have had a remarkable year with many wins by individuals
and podium places for teams etc. In November we awarded The Worsel Trophy for
Endeavour to Karen Davison for her example in this sphere and the progress has
continued with many others getting into the National competitions.
Many people put in voluntary work during the year to make club events happen and to
them we owe our gratitude and help when needed. It is to the organisers that most
responsibility falls so I will mention some of them by name.
Jim and Chris for the Skyline
Andy M. for the Burbage race
Tim for the Thornbridge weekend
Ann and Tony for the annual dinner
Bob B. for the club champs
