2.12 HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
A yellow fever certification is required for delegations from certain African countries. Vaccination
against cholera is also required for anyone who has visited or transited a cholera-infected area within six
days prior to arrival in Ethiopia. As Addis Ababa is situated at an altitude of 2,400 meters, it is advisable
to take precautionary measures to avoid any health problems that might occur because of the high
altitude. You are also advised to consult guidance from your national authorities regarding health
requirements prior to travelling.
