TED KLEINER, <strong>AIA</strong>, JOINS <strong>STV</strong> AS VICE PRESIDENT<br />
New York, August 16, 2004 – <strong>Ted</strong> <strong>Kleiner</strong>, <strong>AIA</strong>, h<strong>as</strong> joined <strong>STV</strong> <strong>Inc</strong>orporated <strong>as</strong> vice president, <strong>as</strong><br />
part of the firm’s aviation/transportation facilities practice. In this key position, <strong>Kleiner</strong> will focus<br />
on program management and facility planning within that group.<br />
<strong>Kleiner</strong> h<strong>as</strong> more than 30 years experience in the management of complex, multi-billion<br />
dollar capital plans in the aviation field. <strong>Kleiner</strong> recently retired from the Port Authority of New<br />
York & New Jersey. He joined the Port Authority in 1971 <strong>as</strong> a staff architect, working through the<br />
ranks to become the <strong>as</strong>sistant director of their aviation department. In this role, he directed the<br />
agency’s $11.5 billion public/private partnership for capital investment programs at John F.<br />
Kennedy International, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty International and Teterboro airports. Among the<br />
programs under his direction were the privatization of the new International Terminal 4 and the<br />
redevelopment of landside infr<strong>as</strong>tructure, both at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Prior to<br />
that position, <strong>Kleiner</strong> served <strong>as</strong> program director for the JFK Airport’s redevelopment program,<br />
directing all the activities to complete the agency’s $7.4 billion public/private partnership with<br />
airlines and other aviation businesses to rebuild the international airport.<br />
<strong>STV</strong>’s aviation/transportation facilities practice develops multi-modal transportation and<br />
aviation facilities nationwide. The practice provides facilities planning and architectural services<br />
for airline terminals; bus terminals; ferry terminals; rail stations and support facilities; tunnel and<br />
bridge gateways; vehicular toll plaz<strong>as</strong> and other nonpublic facilities that support the country’s public<br />
transportation networks.<br />

<strong>Kleiner</strong> received his Bachelor of Science in architectural technology from the New York<br />
Institute of Technology and a M<strong>as</strong>ters degree in urban planning from the New York University. He<br />
is a registered architect in New York and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He<br />
resides in Forest Hills, NY.<br />
