Porsche Sports Cup.<br />

In 2005, Porsche introduced<br />

ano<strong>the</strong>r exciting race series:<br />

<strong>the</strong> Porsche Sports Cup. Each<br />

two-day meeting offers a range<br />

of events with a number of<br />

different classes for both roadgoing<br />

<strong>and</strong> race-only cars.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Sports Cup programme<br />

includes driving technique <strong>and</strong><br />

consistency tests, sprint race<br />

events (racing licence required)<br />

<strong>and</strong>, as <strong>the</strong> high point of <strong>the</strong><br />

weekend, an endurance race with<br />

m<strong>and</strong>atory pit stop <strong>and</strong> driver<br />

swap. For those who do not yet<br />

hold a racing licence, <strong>the</strong>re is a<br />

choice of two test events. In<br />

contrast to racing, where <strong>the</strong><br />

arbiter is speed, <strong>the</strong> aim of <strong>the</strong>se<br />

events is to drive as consistently<br />

as possible, <strong>the</strong>reby improving<br />

your driving technique.<br />

Porsche Club motorsport.<br />

<strong>The</strong> privately run Porsche Club<br />

network organises numerous race<br />

meetings <strong>and</strong> championship series<br />

with a wide range of opportunities<br />

for private entrants. <strong>The</strong> first<br />

Porsche Club was established in<br />

1952 by a small group of Porsche<br />

enthusiasts. Today, <strong>the</strong>re are<br />

more than 550 of <strong>the</strong>se official<br />

associations, with approximately<br />

115,000 members in more than<br />

60 countries worldwide. <strong>The</strong><br />

Porsche Club organisation is<br />

one of <strong>the</strong> largest <strong>and</strong> longest<br />

established automotive bodies<br />

<strong>The</strong> Porsche Sportfahrschule<br />

(Porsche Sport Driving School)<br />

offers a range of training courses<br />

well as safety on ice. Each event<br />

provides a unique opportunity to<br />

develop your skills <strong>and</strong> explore<br />

<strong>the</strong> full capability of ei<strong>the</strong>r your<br />

own car or a loan vehicle supplied<br />

by Porsche. Courses are available<br />

for all proficiency levels from<br />

beginner to advanced, including<br />

final preparation for a racing<br />
