[Note: the aircraft record cards covering the period 1955<br />
through to 1964 for the remainder of this G-119G batch, all of<br />
which served in Europe (and, incidentally, for a part of the<br />
FY51 F-86D Sabre batch which follows them, many of which<br />
also served in Europe), appear to have gone missing from the<br />
Air Force <strong>Historical</strong> Research Agency. <strong>The</strong>y may simply have<br />
been misfiled so if anyone has ever managed to track them<br />
down we would be very interested in hearing from you! In the<br />
histories below some of the 60th TGW G-119Gs will have been<br />
sent back to the USA during 1955 while others will have been<br />
turned over to the 465thTGW at Evreux before being sent<br />
back in 1957/58 (for example, the 465th is known to have<br />
transferred 34 G-119Gs to GONAG between January and<br />
June 1958 but we can only account for 28). It is also possible<br />
that a handful of others were passed on to the 580thARGG at<br />
Wheelus and maybe even the 582ndARGG at Molesworth<br />
before those two units were inactivated. <strong>The</strong> 47thBWaircraft,<br />
which departed Sculthorpe during the course of 1958, will<br />
have been the last active examples from this batch to serve in<br />
Europe.]<br />
