Mitsubishi A6M3 'Hamp' EB-201 in flight in the USA. This example of the Mitsubishi Type 0 Model 32 (cln 3030) was captured at
Buna, New Guinea, in December 1942 and shipped to Australia. The code name 'Hamp' applied to the A6M3 clipped-wing version
of the Zero, which - when first identified on reconnaissance photos - was thought to be a different type from the more common
A6M5 'Zeke'. After being rebuilt at Eagle Farm, Brisbane, and test flown in July 1943, cln 3030 was shipped to Wright Field in
Ohio and identified as 'EB-201' ('EB' = Evaluation Branch of the USMF Technical Data Laboratory in Wright Field). It remained
airworthy there during 1944. (USAFM A-27381 via Phil Butler)
'Navy Carrier Bomber Suisei Model 33'. (BuAer 193081 via Phil Butler)
