Dearest Titans,
Hello there.
Love,
Season has come to a
close again. During the season, in
all honesty, I couldn’t wait for it
to end, but now that it actually is
gone, I miss it. I miss being able
to sit around and do absolutely
nothing for hours on end at
meets; I miss the lovely
fragrance of spray sun block; I
miss crowding around Barr to
complain about events; I miss
watching amazing swims from
my fellow Titans (You guys are
mind-blowing.); I miss capping
people just to get compliments
on my capping skills (Why thank
you.); I miss attempting to do
cheers then disagreeing on what
cheer to do (Sorry, Joe.); I miss
finishing a race, looking up at the
scoreboard and seeing that time
drop; I miss watching the sunrise
every morning at practice; I miss
smelling of chlorine at school all
day, (not really), but what I do
miss most is the people.
As for Varsity girls, thank
you for being such, such
sweeties, so cooperative and so
enthusiastic. Watching each of
you train so hard, try so hard,
inspired me. Remember that,
each of you is an inspiration. For
most, I hope to see you next year.
For the special three, Saskia,
Heidi, and Myrtle, I will miss
you like crazy. Saskia, what will
I do without you? Pushing me to
go faster, to try harder, I admire
your dedication and sincerity. Be
careful not to go over the deep
end! Heidi, I don’t think you
even fully realize just how fast
you are, and that humility just
made you all the more of a
champion. Well, it’s been an
honor being your only friend on
the team. It really has. :) And
Myrtle, last but far from least,
what can I say? Three years of
craziness, of jokes no one else
understands or will ever
understand, of rides home, and
one year of being your cocaptain.
The entire team truly
appreciates all the effort you’ve
put in to this team and it’s clearly
evident just how much you care.
Swim just won’t be the same
without you. High school just
won’t be the same without you.
So fellow vibrator, I going to
miss you like ____ (There’s no
analogy, nothing compares.).
Saskia, Heidi, and Myrtle, take
care! I wish you all the best and
please keep in touch?

Hi, swim people!
I can’t believe that just like that,
three years of swimming and
practically four years of high
school are over. For those who
are coming back next year,
treasure the time you have left,
because you’re going to look
back and think about how
awesome swim season was. (:
Shout-out to all the people I
randomly met and started talking
to at meets. Shout-out to all the
people I went to practice with
every day. Shout-out to Jose,
Mrs. Murphy, Barr, and the
captains for organizing our
meets/the snacks/making sure
everything went smoothly
throughout the season. You’re all
awesome people, and I’m really
grateful I had the chance to meet
you guys through swim.
