PMC 230 grain hardball. I am
sure it will do much better from
a machine rest. The pistol functioned
reliably with only two
malfunctions in the first 50
rounds. On both occasions the
slide locked back before feeding
the last round in the magazine.
While not specified in his
catalog, the Premier II came
with 32 1pi checkering on the
front of the grip strap. This ensures
a good grip without damaging
your hands. The Premier
II comes with one eight-round
magazine and pad and retails
for a reasonable $1000.50.
I have known Les for many
years. He built my first truly
complete custom pistol when he
was managing Springfield's
Custom Shop several years ago.
I still shoot that first pistol and
it is one of the most accurate
competition pistols I own, even
after shooting many jacketed
rounds through it.

a solid yet comfortable grip (right).

areas that can't be done better
by machine. The result is the
best of both worlds, a pistol that
looks nearly as good as a handbuilt
custom pistol and functions
just as well as, if not
better than, some full custom
jobs. The best part of this is

to his customers.
