Sarah Cartmill, a 2002 graduate of<br />

<strong>Binghamton</strong>, completed her first year<br />

with the program as an assistant coach<br />

in 2010-11.<br />

Cartmill arrived from St. Bonaventure,<br />

where she was part of a staff that<br />

guided the Bonnies to an 80-48 record<br />

as well as a pair of WNIT appearances<br />

in four years. She was heavily involved<br />

with the recruiting process and worked<br />

specifically with the post players. In her<br />

final season, Cartmill coached a pair of<br />

In the <strong>Binghamton</strong> record books, Cartmill ranks second all-time with<br />

1,862 career points and third with 784 rebounds. During her four years<br />

at <strong>Binghamton</strong>, the squad went 94-22, captured a pair of ECAC Division II<br />

championships and advanced to the 1999 NCAA Division II Tournament.<br />

Cartmill capped her career by being named the 2002 America East Player of<br />

the Year in the <strong>Bearcats</strong>’ first year at the NCAA Division I level.<br />

Following graduation, Cartmill played two years professionally in Ireland and a<br />

year in Denmark. She coached several girls’ school age teams during that time. In<br />

2005, Cartmill began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Ithaca College.<br />
