6.8 Wheel-axle units<br />

<strong>General</strong> informations<br />

6.8.1 Front wheel removal<br />

1. Loosen the front wheel-axle and the screws on the bottom of the front fork arms.<br />

2. Lift the front wheel, by using a raising stand or by putting a jack under the engine<br />

protection. Take care the bike is stalled enough to prevent it from overturning.<br />

3. Remove successively the axle and the wheel.<br />

6.8.2 Front wheel fitting<br />

1. Lift the wheel up within the two front fork arms, and make sure the brake disk is<br />

situated within the brake pads.<br />

2. Thread the wheel axle through the two front fork arms, the speedometer<br />

mechanism, and the wheel hub.<br />

3. Tighten the axle to the recommended torque: 30 Nm (3,0 m.Kgf).<br />

4. Tighten the screws on the bottom of the front fork arms.<br />

6.8.3 Rear wheel removal<br />

1. Loosen the wheel axle nut.<br />

2. Turn the two chain tension eccentrics in the direction which allows the wheel to<br />

move towards the front of the bike.<br />
