<strong>of</strong> the Year Award<br />

The <strong>YMCA</strong> is one <strong>of</strong> the world’s<br />

largest volunteer organizations.<br />

The <strong>YMCA</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Edmonton</strong> relies<br />

on 600-800 volunteers a year,<br />

giving 25,000-30,000 plus hours.<br />

Each year our <strong>YMCA</strong> has recognized outstanding volunteer achievements<br />

and since 2003 the Volunteer <strong>of</strong> the Year Award has been named in<br />

honour <strong>of</strong> Bill Rees. Bill Rees has been a <strong>YMCA</strong> member and volunteer<br />

continuously for the last 49 years. For the last 15 years Bill has been a<br />

full time volunteer with the <strong>YMCA</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Edmonton</strong> working in the areas <strong>of</strong><br />

fundraising and relationship development.<br />
