Recycling ProgramIn an effort to conserve the earth’s limited natural resources, Brookfield Properties has instituted arecycling program in the Complex. All tenants are encouraged to participate in this program whichnot only serves to protect our environment but also helps reduce operating costs.How the Recycling Program WorksEach workstation and/or desk will be supplied a small “Cardboard Recycling Container” where thepaper products noted below must be deposited:Glossy Paper Brown Kraft Paper Coloured PaperComputer Paper Photocopy Paper Envelops (all)Fax Paper Gummed Paper File FoldersMagazines Newspaper NCR PaperThe following items should not be deposited in the small Cardboard Recycling Container andmust be placed in waste receptacles:Blue Print Paper Plastic Bags Beverage Containers/LidsFood Items Binders KleenexStraws & Stir Sticks Paper Towels Plastic EnvelopesLarger containers will be supplied in strategic locations on the floor. Each employee isresponsible for emptying the smaller box into the larger one. The Housekeeping Staff will removethe contents from all large recycling containers each night or when full to complete the process.Also, recycling containers will be supplied to kitchens and lunchrooms for pop bottle and canrecycling. Please contact the Customer Service Hotline to obtain additional recycling containers.Miscellaneous RecyclingA recycling program for toners/inkjet cartridges/cell phones/computers is available. Any of theseitems will be picked up by the Porter Service and delivered to a central location for pickup. Allmonies are donated to various charities.e-wastePlease contact the Dock Master at (403) 770-7149 for more information on our current e-wasterecycling program.Carton DisposalTo dispose of cardboard cartons, please follow these instructions:• Flatten cartons.• Retain flattened cartons in a designated area of your premises.
