We provide an opportunity for children and adults to build friendships in a fun, encouraging environment. The programs are designed tostrengthen and “show off” the participants’ abilities, rather than their disabilities. All programs are free, unless otherwise noted. The Therapeutics Program alsosupports and works with the Lee County and State of Alabama Special Olympics programs. Currently, we support athletes for basketball, bowling, golf, gymnastics, swimming, and track & fieldevents. Practices take place throughout the year with the help of local Special Olympics volunteer coaches. Youmust be at least 8 years of age and meet the requirements of the Alabama Special Olympic Guidelinesin order to participate.
