<strong>GIV</strong>-X / G-V / GV-SP <strong>FSB</strong> <strong>Report</strong> Part I, Rev. 8 8/1/12procedures that are required for the original issuance of the pilot certificate.6.4 Differences Training:Differences training is accomplished in accordance with 14 CFR part 135.347.When any combination of the <strong>GIV</strong>-X, G-V and GV-SP are flown, appropriateinstruction in design and systems differences will be required for both airplanes,consistent with MDR provisions listed in Appendix 1.6.5 Other Training:6.5.1 <strong>Flight</strong> Attendant Training is accomplished in accordance with 14 CFR part135.341 if a flight attendant is utilized. The <strong>GIV</strong>-X, G-V, and GV-SP havea maximum seating capacity of 19 seats and therefore, do not require a<strong>Flight</strong> Attendant.6.5.2 Aircraft Dispatcher Training, <strong>Flight</strong> Engineer Training, and <strong>Flight</strong>Navigator Training are not applicable.6.5.3 Emergency Evacuation Crewmember (EEC) Training – During the GV-SPcertification process Gulfstream asked the FAA to make an equivalent safetyfinding on the overwing exits because they did not meet current FAAcertification standards. Gulfstream requested, and the FAA accepted, thatanytime more than 9 passengers are carried, an additional crewmembertrained in Emergency Evacuation for the Gulfstream elliptical exits berequired onboard. The FAA found that this provides an equivalent level ofsafety to overwing emergency exits that would meet current FAAcertification standards. Therefore, the GV-SP will require an EmergencyEvacuation Crewmember on the aircraft any time more than 9 passengers arecarried. The specific training that EEC is required to undergo is specified inGulfstream Operating Manual Supplements numbersG550-OMS-1 for the G550 and G500-OMS-1 for the G500.The <strong>GIV</strong>-X does not require an EEC. The FAA certified the <strong>GIV</strong>-Xoverwing exits at an earlier certification rule amendment level, based on theG-IV certification.7 <strong>FSB</strong> SPECIFICATIONS FOR CHECKING7.1 General7.1.1 The provisions of this checking section apply to the <strong>GIV</strong>-X, G-V, andGV-SP. Testing, Checking and Evaluations specified by 14 CFR parts61.57, 61.58, 61.63, 61.67, 61.157, 61.159, 135.293, 135.297, SFAR58, and FAA Practical Test Standards (PTS) apply.
