GEMS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIESCENTRICITY <strong>PACS</strong> <strong>1.0</strong> <strong>CONFORMANCE</strong> <strong>STATEMENT</strong>REV 0, MAY 2002 IIS FP 10617issued by the <strong>Centricity</strong> <strong>PACS</strong> system or users. For the Storage Commitment report, the Storage AEwill always initiate one single association.By default, the DICOM Server is able to support maximum 20 simultaneous associations total <strong>for</strong>receiving SOP Instances and Storage Commitment requests, as well as to serving Query / Retrieverequests. This includes all additional associations required <strong>for</strong> sending SOP Instances as the store suboperationsresulted by serving a DICOM Retrieve request. The DICOM server does not restrict thenumber of maximum simultaneous associations individually <strong>for</strong> the separate services and serves theincoming associations on a first-come-first-serve basis, until the configured maximum number isreached.Note:<strong>Centricity</strong> <strong>PACS</strong> supports multiple instances of the DICOM Server running simultaneously.If the number of simultaneous associations supported by a single DICOM Server is notsufficient, multiple <strong>Centricity</strong> MIU subsystems can be configured.2.3.1.3 Asynchronous NatureNone of the DICOM Server AE’s supports asynchronous operations. All operations will be per<strong>for</strong>medsynchronously.2.3.1.4 Implementation Identifying In<strong>for</strong>mationAll AEs of the DICOM Server provide the same implementation class UID, which is:Implementation Class UID 2.16.840.1.113709.1.1.1All AEs of the DICOM Server provide the same implementation version name, which is:Implementation <strong>Version</strong> NameCENTRICITY_<strong>1.0</strong>2.3.1.5 Timers2.3.1.5.1 Association TimersThe DICOM Server supports an association timer <strong>for</strong> an association that the DICOM Server plays therole of association initiator.The association timer starts when the association request is sent, and stops when the association isestablished.2.3.1.5.2 Operation Inactivity TimerThe DICOM Server supports an operation inactivity timer in each association.For the role of association initiator, the operation inactivity timer re-starts every time a DIMSE servicerequest has been issued.For the role of association acceptor, the operation inactivity timer re-starts every time a DIMSE serviceresponse has been sent.2–18
