Academic InformationASSESSMENT INFORMATION & TEST SCHEDULEThe Massachusetts Board of Higher Education requires all studentsattending public colleges in Massachusetts to take a series of placementtests that assess skills in writing, reading, and mathematics. The testsare not evaluated in terms of passing or failing. Rather, the tests areused to decide which courses should be taken at the beginning of astudent’s college career. It is recommended that students consult<strong>Massasoit</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s course descriptions for any testingpre-requisites.Students have an option to test on a walk-in or appointment basis.The weekly testing schedule is available on the link to the Testingand Assessment Office on the <strong>Massasoit</strong> website. Each one-hour sessionoffers strategies for taking the mathematics or reading test. Thesessions will include practice materials and an overview of the coursesstudents may place into per their test scores. Also, a brief review ofessay-writing will be included in the reading session.
