PREFACEThis book is a revised version <strong>of</strong> the <strong>St<strong>and</strong>ard</strong> <strong>Specification</strong>sfor <strong>Road</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Bridge</strong>s <strong>Construction</strong> adopted in 1989. The provisions<strong>of</strong> these specifications shall apply on all construction contractsentered into by the Puerto Rico Highway <strong>and</strong> TransportationAuthority in which this book is incorporated by reference <strong>and</strong> shallbe binding upon the parties signatory to such contracts.Variations from these specifications will not be permittedexcept as provided for by supplemental specifications or specialprovisions included in the specific contract.
