Devonshire PreschoolThe 2012-2013 school year will begin in September. Operating 35 weeksbetween September and May, our Preschool program is located at theDevonshire Cultural Center. Our spacious state-of-the-art classroomsare designed specifically for young children. Various class times and daysconveniently meet the needs of your preschooler.Preschool Open HouseDevonshire Preschool is committed to the belief that each child is specialand unique. In the spirit, we have designed a developmentally appropriatecurriculum that fosters each child’s social, emotional, language, physicaland intellectual growth. Teachers degreed in early childhood education planactivities around a weekly theme. Field trips and special events are includedin the program Devonshire Preschool is licensed by the Illinois Departmentof Children and Family Services and follows a calendar similar to the areapublic schools, including a two-week winter break, one-week spring breakand other public holiday closings.Devonshire Preschool registration is conducted via a lottery system.Registration packets may be picked up on or after February 18. The applicationmust be returned to Devonshire Cultural Center before March 12 to beincluded in the random computerized lottery. A non-refundable $60 applicationfee is required at the time of registration. Tuition is paid over a nine-monthperiod beginning in September. Skokie residents have priority enrollment. Before and After School ProgramSkokie’s Place for All Children in Extended CareThis recreational program is offered through the Skokie Park District incooperation with School Districts 69, 72, 73, and 73.5.S.P.A.C.E.Skokie’s Place for All Children in Extended CareRegistrations are still being accepted for the 2011-12 school year.Availability may be limited.
