128 1868: North German Confederation 1gr. rose-red and Luxembourg 1865-73 rouletted F 20 000 - 30 000<br />
in colour 12 1/2c. rose-red, each tied to 1868 cover to Christnach via<br />
Echternach by fine strikes of “RUWER” datestamps in black (January 20, first<br />
month of use for the 1gr.). Echternach arrival cds (Jan 21) on reverse. The<br />
1gr. separated by scissors at top and the 12 1/2c. with minor ageing around<br />
roulettes, otherwise the sole known example of this extraordinary combination.<br />
