Linwood Jackson DupreeDunn Daily Record7/27/2005Linwood J. Dupree, 74, of Willow Spring died Tuesday, July 26, 2005,after suffering a long-term illness. He was a retired farmer and was amember and elder of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. He served as aboard member of the 50-210 Fire Station at McGee’s Crossroads. Mr.Dupree was born in Harnett County and was preceded in death by hisfather, Loyd Dupree; and his mother, Nellie Pleasant Dupree. Funeralservices will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Churchby the Rev. Bill Kercheval. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.Survivors include his wife, Ruth Jordan Dupree; daughters, Sherry D.Coats and husband Wayne, and Chana D. Ferrell, all of Willow Spring, and Tanya D. Ogburn ofSmithfield; grandchildren, Kevin Coats and wife Kathy of Holly Springs, Michelle C. Honeycuttand husband Brian of Raleigh, Whitney Ogburn of Smithfield, Chelsey and Grayson Ferrell ofWillow Spring; brothers, Ray Dupree and Marshall Dupree, both of Raleigh; sisters, Ellen DaleHedgepeth of Coats and Brenda Torella of Marathon, Fla.The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier.Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
