Adams and one by her husband, Joseph Dupree. The subject of this notice, Eliza Jane Adams Dupree, was a dear sister of mine in the flesh, butmore dear in that spiritual relation to our dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as I hope she wasone of the Lord’s poor and precious jewels. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of hissaints.” We sorrow not as those without hope. We believe our dear sister died or fell asleep inJesus, and blessed are all such. She possessed a meek and quiet spirit, was a faithful and devoted member of the church anddelighted to have the brethren and sisters at her house, and especially the ministering brethren ofwhom she had a goodly number to stop with her. Many will remember her. We all miss her, butnone so much as her dear husband, our brother Joseph Dupree. A good wife is of the Lord. Hegiveth and taketh away and we should bow in humble submission to his holy will and sayblessed be his Holy name forever and ever. He doeth all things well and for the best. May thegood Lord comfort the hearts of the bereaved and reconcile us all more and more to his righteouswill in all things. In hopeJE ADAMS
