Crossflow quenching system
The crossflow quenching system excels in terms of its
extremely uniform flow profile for even filament quality and
thus highest evenness and performance. User-friendliness,
in addition to the quality, is a further important criterion in the
design of our systems and is also guaranteed in the case
of Oerlikon Barmag’s industrial yarn systems: the crossflow
quenching is characterized by simple maintenance and
remarkably easy access to the spinning heads and yarn path.
Radial quenching system
Radial quenching systems offer a very uniform quenching of
the filament bundle ensuring a significantly improved single
filament quality compared to X-flow. Due to the uniform
physical properties of the individual filaments, this is the
quenching principle to achieve outstanding yarn quality.
For HMLS processes with a high number of filaments the
radial quenching system is an option. Its major advantage in
terms of preserving natural resources is the extremely low air
consumption.
