HANAU™ ALCOHOL TORCH INSTRUCTIONS - Whip Mix

FILLING THE TORCHWick capover wickFunnel usedto fill alcoholNeedle-point FlamePoint the Alcohol Torch tip over the wick andcontinuously pump the trigger mechanism with acompletely closed thumbscrew valve for a needlepointflame. Control the flame by the frequency ofpumping the pump trigger.Brush-type FlameFor a milder licking or brush-type flame, open thethumbscrew valve in a counterclockwise direction.Continuously pump the trigger mechanism whilethe brush flame is needed. Control the flame by thethumbscrew valve and the frequency of pumping thepump trigger.EXTINGUISHING THE FLAMEBlow out the flame as you would a candle or amatch. Place the wick cap securely over the wickto completely snuff out sparks and to prevent theevaporation of alcohol (see Figure A).CAUTION: THE ALCOHOL FLAME IS COLOR-LESS AND CAN BE DIFFICULT TO SEE. Usecaution when the Alcohol Torch is lit. After extinguishingthe flame, be sure to place the wick capsecurely over the wick.STORAGEFor short periods between uses, store the AlcoholTorch with the wick cap on securely. If the AlcoholTorch is to be stored for any length of time or transported,completely empty the alcohol reservoir byremoving the filler plug and by inverting the AlcoholTorch over a funnel placed in a proper containeraway from flames. Clean up any alcohol that spills inthis process.Figure F
