However, another important consideration is that, with equalreplication, we are estimating each mean with the same precision, and this may beimportant for example in drug and variety trials where we may need to show theoriginators of each drug or variety that it has been assessed fairly in comparison with theother drug or variety.It is much simpler to analyse the experimentusing GenStat. The data sets that are used in theexamples and practicals in this Guide can be allbe accessed from within GenStat. There are two columns of data: the name method is initalics, showing that this column is a factor, and yield is a variate.
