(seeEviction and other LandlordRemedies) the perpetrator withoutremoving the other tenants,if the perpetrator remains onthe premises after the noticeexpires. (90.445(1))However, the landlord may notrequire the remaining tenantsto pay additional rent, fees, ordeposits based on the absence ofthe perpetrator. (90.445(2))If your landlord discriminatesagainst you based on thesecriteria and in the ways outlinedabove, you may be entitled to upto two months rent or twice theactual damages. (90.449(3)(b)If you successfully defendagainst an eviction based onthis kind of discrimination, you maynot be entitled to attorney’s fees if thelandlord: cause to know, that that the reasonfor the eviction notice was relatedto domestic violence, sexual assaultor stalking the perpetrator from the evictionupon becoming aware that the reasonfor the eviction was related todomestic violence, sexual assault,or stalking. (90.449(5))IdentifyingDiscriminationMuch discrimination happenswithout the victim having theslightest suspicion that discriminationhas occurred.
