start flashing on the display. Indications of knock must not be ignored. Excessive knockwill damage the engine.V500 maps introduced new logic for CBA and DBA ECUs which caused the boost gaugeto flash constantly when the ECU enters high detonation mode (which can happen withexcessive knock). The flashing rate is faster than the normal knock flash rate and furtherknock events will not be shown on boost gauge in high det. mode (just a constant fastflash of gauge). When ECU exits high det. mode (requires a key cycle), normal reportingof knock events will resume on gauge (until high det mode is activated again). Note: Thehigh det. mode fast flash is a little too fast for the gauge at times and some may notice avery slight pause in the flashing at times (this is normal).4. Boost Gauge Wrap-AroundMulti.
