used only with the mechanical configuration outlined here. Use of lowerquality fuels or incorrect fuels/lower than desired ethanol content cancause engine damage. These maps are designed for this specificmechanical configuration. Any deviation (different injectors, lack of fuelpump upgrade, etc.) will likely result in engine damage.Fuel Requirements:Typical Power Gains: Stage 3 ID1000cc• 91 octane or 95 RON• 93 octane or 98 RON• E85 (85% ethanol, pump fuel)**** WARNING - Be very careful to use appropriate fuel quality with themap. Low quality fuels can cause catastrophic engine damage. Usehigh quality fuels whenever available.Copyright © 2013 COBB Tuning Products LLC. Closing Warnings and Precautions:• Boost targets will vary with altitude: Users at higher altitude can expect lower boost. The further away from sea level the lower the ambient pressure. For example, users inDenver CO may see 1.5 to 2 psi lower boost. This is normal and the reduction in boostpressure at high altitude is intended to keep maintain efficient turbo charger function.• Launch control: Launch control RPM set to 4100 RPM by default.• Switching Fuels. These 1000cc ID maps are designed to run the specific fuels indicatedand for best performance and safety the ethanol content must be within a certain narrowrange. 91 and 93 octane maps are designed for up to 10% ethanol and can be used withup to 15% ethanol with little degradation in performance. E85 maps are designed for85% ethanol but will work reasonably well with up to 90 or as little as 75% ethanol.• Because of these narrow windows for ethanol content CARE must be taken whenswitching between 91 and 93 octane to E85. Likewise, switching from E85 to lowerethanol content 91 or 93 must be done with caution.• The best approach to changing fuels is to run the car completely out of fuel and then fillthe tank full with the desired fuel. If the tank is not completely empty there is a chance ofdiluting the subsequent fuel type with either too much or too little ethanol.Map Version Notes• Stage 3 - ID1000cc 91 oct 11, 15, 17 psi v100◦ Fuel Requirements: 91 octane or 95 RON◦ Fuel System Requirements:▪ ID1000 cc injectors▪ Upgraded Fuel Pumps (see Hardware Requirements above for additional details)◦ Intake Requirements: 3.0" COBB BigSF Intakes◦ Map Switching Boost Levels:▪ Switchable map 1 - 10 psi▪ Switchable map 2 - 15 psi▪ Switchable map 3 - 17 psi◦ Boost Actuators Requirements: stock boost actuators ONLY!• Stage 3 - ID1000cc 93 oct 11, 15, 17, 18 psi v100◦ Fuel Requirements: 93 octane or 98 RON◦ Fuel System Requirements:▪ Fuel ID1000 cc injectors▪ Upgraded Fuel Pumps (see Hardware Requirements above for additional details)◦ Intake Requirements: 3.0" COBB BigSF Intakes◦ Map Switching Boost Levels:▪ Switchable map 1 -10 psiCopyright © 2013 COBB Tuning Products LLC.
