The examples in this section use the C version of the test harness. On Windows,the VB test harness is available either as qs_vb.exe in the directory where theQAS Pro program is installed, or as a shortcut from the Start > Programs menu. Ifthe VB test harness is used, you must first enter a search and press Search tomake the UI dialog pop up.Searching With A Test HarnessIf you are using Windows, run the test harness from the shortcut in the ProgramGroup which was created when you installed QAS Pro API.The test harness appears, looking similar to this:To perform a Single Line search, follow these steps:1. Press Enter to select the default dataset. In the example above, this is GBR.Alternatively, type ? and press Enter to display a list of all datasets with theiridentifiers. Type the relevant code (for example, DEU for Germany, AUS forAustralia) and press Enter to select the related dataset.2. Once you have selected the dataset you want to work with, the screen willlook like this:16
3. Enter a search string, separating each part from the next with a comma, andpress Enter.
