If you enter:*park, nottinghamQAS Pro retrieves:All addresses in the city of Nottingham with a firstaddress element that contains the word "park".In a keyword search, the asterisk can be anywhere in the address element.Keyword searching is therefore especially useful if you are looking for a particulartype of organisation or institution, such as banks, colleges, hospitals, etc. Forexample, the search "*university,dundee" looks for any university in Dundee.Searching With Partial AddressesA partial address consists of one or more address elements, separated bycommas. One such partial address element might be sufficient to identify thecomplete address if the organisation, house or street name is unusual. Capitalletters are not required.The address elements available for the datasets that you have purchased areshown in the Data Guide that is supplied with each dataset.You can use any combination of address elements in any order. If there arediscrepancies between the spelling of the entry and the spelling as recorded inthe dataset, QAS Pro usually manages to find the required address.If a definition is not specific enough, the search for matching addresses can taketoo long or can result in too many addresses to be useful.
