The test harness enables you to obtain matching addresses and picklists frominput address information that you type in.See Sample Code for more information about the purpose of the sample code.The UI integration scenario is the preferred solution on Windows because it usesthe standard <strong>QAS</strong> <strong>Pro</strong> dialog, thereby minimising the size and <strong>com</strong>plexity of theintegration, and meaning that you have access to Single Line and Typedownengines, as well as the standard User Interface functionality (selection of layoutsand databases, menus, toolbars etc.).If you are running the UI API test harness in client/server mode, any loss ofconnection between client and server results in the display of appropriatewarnings. Refer to the Client / Server documentation for more information.The examples in this section use the C version of the test harness. The VB testharness is available either as qs_uivb.exe in the directory where the <strong>QAS</strong> <strong>Pro</strong>program is installed, or as a shortcut from the Start > <strong>Pro</strong>grams menu. If the VBtest harness is used, you must first enter a search and press Search to make theUI dialog pop up.Running The Test HarnessRun the test harness from the shortcut in the <strong>Pro</strong>gram Group which was createdwhen you installed <strong>QAS</strong> <strong>Pro</strong> API.The test harness appears, looking similar to the example shown below:19
