Seeds large, heavy, dark brown in color, anddo not readily shatter at maturity. <strong>Plant</strong> shorter than typical veldt.<strong>Plant</strong> habit and growth form about as variable as typical veldt. Rapid early growth is favorableto the growing of slender wheatgrass in association with sweetclover.Resistant to leaf stem, and stripe rusts and is superior to Mecca inresistance to head smut.216
