UV Scan / tesa® UV Stripfor UV dose measurementSystem-Features• storable data• self-adhesive flexiblemeasuring strips withminimal thickness• reliable and easy monitoringof the UV dosewithin the productionprocess• reproducible resultsAdvantages• UV measurementconsidering throughputspeed• dose measurement evenon complex surfacegeometries• reduction of waste

tesa® UV Strip / UV ScanThe tesa® UV Strip is a reliable photochromatic film for dosemeasurement on the object surface. It is suitable for printingand coating applications.Spectral sensitivity of tesa® UV StripsConventional UV measuring systems are only able to measurethe UV intensity during the process. By measuring the UVdose, the UV Strip also takes into account the productionspeed. Thus, it is possible to reliably monitor the UV equipmentduring the ongoing process.By using the tesa® UV Strip / UV Scan the waste of productionis minimised whereas the process reliability is decidedlyincreased. The exposed strips can be read-out with theHönle evaluation unit which also allows the documentationand storage of data.SensitivityRecommended minimum line speed for tesa® UVStrip exposureDue to the wide sensitivity range of the tesa® UV Strip, accurate measurementfor a large variety of applications is possibleLinespeed (m/min)The minimal thickness and high flexibility of the tesa® UVStrip makes it allow measurement even on surfaces whichare difficult to access: The self-adhesive backing facilitatesthe measurement of vertical web paths. The UV dose caneven be detected on complex 3D surfaces.General informationNumber of UV lamps with 120 W/cmThe colouration of the strip and the accuracy of the measurement dependon the lamp spectrum and the temperature on the substrateThe measurement strips have a shelf life of approximatelytwo years, if stored in a cool and dark place. An optionalaccessory is a data transmission cable from UV Scan to PC,including software. One package contains 10 strips. The strip size is ca. 70 mm x19 mm.The tesa® UV Strip delivers an accurate reading during aperiod of five minutes up to two hours after exposure.Curing DryingBonding Potting Measuringaladin eleco-efd eltosch grafix hönle mitronic panacol raesch uv-technik speziallampenprintconceptDr.
