Three cases oftelangiactasis were found (two in males and onein female) in the livers of the cattle inNovember. There were no such diseaseconditions in December. The cases ofsplenomegaly recorded were two (i.e. 1.33%).DISCUSSIONThe purpose of disease surveillance is to use allappropriate epidemiologic and other methods asguide to the control of such disease” (Downs,1990). This objective was later enlarged toinclude the evaluation of disease states andprovision of data for disease control and healthservices planning. The first part of the objectiveis about describing the ongoing pattern ofdisease occurrence and disease potential.Against this background, the results of thissurvey should be very relevant in both diseasecontrol in cattle and public health controls in thehuman population. Two parasites were detectedin the course of this survey namely Fasciolagigantica and Cysticercus bovis. These showedprevalence rates of 10.00% and 0.67%respectively. The disease conditions liketuberculosis, pneumonia, splenomegaly, jaundice and telangiactasis were also observed. But there does not seem to be any association
