Minutes from the Executive Board MeetingJanuary 24-25, 200716UNFINISHED BUSINESSNotice of Motion – Negotiation DebriefingMoved by Larcher/MayburyWHEREAS the current OPSEU negotiation practice "does not" require acomprehensive debriefing, and;WHEREAS as such comprehensive debriefing has become a goodmeasuring tool and an appropriate vehicle to learn from our successes andmistakes, and;WHEREAS such a process allows for a more effective and comprehensiveplanning process;THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT upon completion of any CentralBargaining (BPS, OPS, CAAT/Academic/Support, MPAC, LBED, HPD) andupon the ratification of a new collective agreement, that OPSEU organize a"debriefing meeting" within four (4) months of the ratification of the newcollective agreement, and;THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT such a debriefingmeeting include the participation from bargaining team members, local executivemembers, divisional executive members (MERC), mobilizers and staff.Moved by O’Brien/MayburyRefer this issue back to the First Vice-President/Treasurer’s Office for acosting.Moved by Middleton/Pridham - Closure - CARRIEDThe question was called on the Referral and it CARRIED.Poll Confirmation Re: OPS Divisional Conference AccommodationsWHEREAS at the December 2004 Executive Board meeting it was agreedto suspend the 60km rule for delegates attending the OPS Divisional Conferenceto stay at the hotel on the night prior to elections; andWHEREAS delegates to this year’s OPS divisional conference have notbeen afforded the same rights and entitlements.
