Minutes from the Executive Board MeetingJanuary 24-25, 200729COMMITTEE REPORTSStrategic Planning Committee - Notice of Motion – Committee Terms ofReference (cont.)WHEREAS terms of reference will make our work more focused and assistthe organization in being accountable; andWHEREAS terms of reference will assist the board in allocation ofresources and finances;THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT all OPSEU committees, caucusesand groups who receive funding through the OPSEU budget, except fordonations, shall have a terms of reference; andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT these committees, caucuses andgroups who do not currently have a terms of reference shall develop one at theirnext scheduled meeting; and,BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this work be completed and sentinto the office of the President no later than May 1, 2007; and,BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all received terms of reference bebrought back to the Executive Board at its June scheduled meeting by theStrategic Planning committee with recommendations; andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT any committee, caucus or groupwho refuses to or does not provide terms of reference by May 1, 2007 shall havetheir funding frozen.2 nd Vice-President Eaton in the Chair.Moved by Eaton/ThomasPostponement of this motion until the Board has their vision, mission andstatement of core values.CARRIEDFirst Vice-President/Treasurer Thomas in the Chair.
