§2.2 ZONING MAP TITLE 15. ARTICLE 2. DISTRICT REGULATIONSThis is to certify that this is the official Zoning Map, referred to in the CarbondaleRevised Code, Title 15, Section 2.2.1 adopted on the day of _________ , 20___.§2.2.2. Amendment or Replacement of official Zoning MapA. Amendments to the official Zoning Map shall be made by ordinance adopted by the CityCouncil after due notice and public hearing pursuant to the procedures of §6.7. Theamendments thereto shall be listed in the order adopted in a separate register maintainedin the office of the Planning Services Division, and each amendment shall be identified asfollows:By official action of the City Council, the following amendments have been made tothe official Zoning Map on the date indicated.B. The foregoing entries shall be signed by the Mayor, attested by the City Clerk, and bear theSeal of the City. Amendments to the official Zoning Map shall be recorded thereon by thePlanning Services Division and so noted on the amending ordinance prior to final recordingof said ordinance by the City Clerk.C. In the event that the official Zoning Map becomes damaged, destroyed, lost, or difficult tointerpret because of the nature or number of changes or additions, the City Council mayadopt a new official Zoning Map which shall supersede any prior zoning map. The newMap may correct errors or omissions in prior maps, but no such correction shall have theeffect of amending the original Zoning Map or any subsequent amendments thereof. Thenew official Zoning Map shall be identified by the signature of the Mayor, attested by theCity Clerk, and bearing the Seal under the following words:This is to certify that this official Zoning Map supersedes and replaces the officialZoning Map adopted on the day of _____ , 20__ , as part of the Revised Code ofthe City of Carbondale, Illinois.D. It shall be unlawful for any person to amend or change the official Zoning Map except inconformity with the procedures set forth in this ordinance.§2.2.3. Annual Publication of Official Zoning MapIf there have been changes in the official Map in any calendar year, the City Council shall causepreparation and publication of the official Zoning Map reflecting the zoning district boundaries asof December 31 of the preceding year. Copies of the official Zoning Map shall be printed prior toMarch 31, of the succeeding year and shall bear the following words:This is a copy of the official Zoning Map reflecting zoning district boundaries as ofDecember 31, 20___. The official Zoning Map indicating current zoning district boundariesis located in the office of the Planning Services Division.§2.2.4. District BoundariesA. Where uncertainty exists as to the boundaries of districts as shown on the official zoningmap, the following rules shall apply:1. Boundaries indicated as approximately following the centerline of streets, highways,or alleys shall be construed to follow such centerlines.2.
