Planned <strong>Giving</strong>: Create a Legacy<br />
Each year, we are saddened by <strong>the</strong> loss <strong>of</strong> individuals who have cared so<br />
deeply for <strong>the</strong> children <strong>of</strong> NPH. In 2010, we said good-bye to 11 <strong>Friends</strong> who<br />
generously remembered <strong>the</strong> pequeños through <strong>the</strong>ir bequests. We <strong>of</strong>fer our<br />
deep condolences to <strong>the</strong>ir families and friends, and thank <strong>the</strong>m for <strong>the</strong> generous<br />
support <strong>the</strong>ir loved ones gave to <strong>Friends</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Orphans</strong>.<br />
Matching Gifts<br />
You can multiply <strong>the</strong> effect <strong>of</strong> your gift by participating in a matching gift program.<br />
Many employers match charitable donations made by <strong>the</strong>ir employees and even<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir retirees. A matching gift can <strong>of</strong>ten double <strong>the</strong> size <strong>of</strong> your gift, increasing <strong>the</strong><br />
impact you have on <strong>Friends</strong> and <strong>the</strong> children <strong>of</strong> NPH. Please contact your human<br />
resources department or visit www.friends<strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong>orphans.org/match to find out if<br />
your employer will match your contribution. In 2010, <strong>the</strong>re were 31 corporations<br />
and o<strong>the</strong>r organizations that gave matching gifts totaling $56,653.<br />
Tribute Gifts<br />
Each year, many donors remember or honor a friend or loved one through a<br />
tribute gift. There were 918 tribute gifts totaling $216,763 in 2010.<br />
