Part B - Health Facility Briefing and Planning90 .26.20LOCATION AND RELATIONSHIPSThe Control/Reporting Room shall be located adjacent to the Catheterlaboratory with direct access to the procedure room and the circulationcorridor.90 .26.30CONSIDERATIONSRadiation shielding shall be assessed by a certified Radiation Consultant or<strong>au</strong>thority.For additional considerations and details refer to Cardiac Catheterisation Unitin these Guidelines and Room Data Sheets.90 .27.10Change Cubicle - PatientDESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONThe Change Cubicle - Patient is a screened area for a<strong>mb</strong>ulant patients toundress from street clothes into a hospital gown, as appropriate, prior toexamination or treatment. Following examination or treatment, the patient willre-dress in street clothes.The Change Cubicle should provide hanging facilities for clothes, and a benchfor the patient to sit on whilst changing.The Change Cubicle - Patient shall be a minimum of two m2 and five m2 fordisabled access.90 .27.20LOCATION AND RELATIONSHIPSThe Change Cubicle - Patient should be located near or directly adjacent toTreatment areas with ready access to Waiting areas and Public Amenities90 .27.30CONSIDERATIONSSecurity of patient belongings should be ensured. Privacy and accessibilityfrom Waiting areas should be considered.For additional room considerations and details refer to Room Data Sheets andRoom layout Sheets.90 .28.10Change - StaffDESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONStaff Change areas are provided for staff to change into appropriate workclothing or gowns, to store their street clothing and to perform personalablutions.The staff change shall be a minimum of eight m2 for a single person at anyone time.
