good quality scopes are quite reliable andyou shouldn't have any problems. If you're used to only iron sighted gunsat first a scope sighted gun will feel awkward, particularly revolvers. The gun mustbe held a couple inches lower than withiron sights. It feels top heavy with thatextra weight on top. Some mounts fit toofar forward and the scope makes the gunexcessively muzzle heavy. You can see thetarget much better and also see the crosshairwiggle and wobble all over the place.Don't worry about it. The wobble is thesame as it was with iron sights. The clearsight picture ofthe scope just allows you tosee it-and control it much better. 500rounds down the road the unfamiiiaritywill be gone and the gun will feel naturalagain.Scoping your gun will enable you to cutyour groups in half. Remember, if youcan't see a target you can't hit it.With the current crop ofscopes by Redfield,TIC, Leupold, Bushnell and Burris, agood revolver and ammunition shouldgroup 2.5 to 3 inches at 50 yards and 5 to 6inches' at 100. This of course assumes theshooter is capable of this degree of accuracy. The TICs and XPs in stock versionshould with well prepared ammunition getaround 1.5 to 2.0 inches at 100 yards for 3 to5 shot groups.Scoped pistols won't be satisfactory foreveryone. However, I feel anyone seriouslyinterested in handguns should have a couplescoped and shoot them enough torealistically appraise ~their performance. ~Hornady .25 ACP bulletdesigned for reloadingHornady Manufacturing Company hasadded a new .25 caliber 50 grain bulletto its line of pistol bullets for reloading. The new round nose, full metal jacketbullet is designed particularly for usewith the .25 caliber Colt Automatic ofpre-World War I vintage as well as themore recent imports by Berreta, Galesi,Astra and other .25 caliber autoloaders. It is said to be the only .25 caliber ACPbullet available for reloading.Reloaders will find that the new .25caliber is manufactured to the identicalspecifications used in the bullets loadedin factory ammunition. In addition to the new .25 caliber, custom reloaders can ~ake advantage often more new bullets r~cently added tothe Hornady line.
